Trichoderma-Enriched Vermicompost Extracts Reduces Nematode Biotic Stress in Tomato and Bell Pepper Crops

چکیده

Root-knot nematode (RKN) is a serious threat to crops worldwide due the difficulty in controlling it and limited eco-friendly alternatives deal with biotic stress causes. In present work, water-extractable fractions obtained from vermicompost (WSFv), enriched Trichoderma asperellum (WSFta) T. virens (WSFtv) were tested as biotechnological tools reduce impacts of RKN on gas exchange, water use efficiency (WUE) nutrient concentration tomato bell pepper plants. The plants infected 5000 eggs eventual J2 then treated for seven weeks. It was observed that addition WSFta, WSFtv WSFv increased CO2 assimilation, stomatal conductance WUE plants, WSFtv, conductance, while higher treatment WSFtv. fact, parameters associated exchange usually than Overall, contents N, Mg, B Mn detected when extracts applied both application fractions, inoculated or not Trichoderma, attenuates damage successfully enhanced showing could be an important promising tool reducing caused by this pathogen. We suggest can cope dilemma between growth response via stomata regulation are modulated WSF Trichoderma.

Effect of vermicompost on fruit yield and quality of bell pepper

In this study effect of application of food waste vermicomposts to soil on antioxidant compounds, fruit yield and quality of sweet pepper (Capsicum annum L.) were investigated in field condition. Four vermicompost levels (0, 5, 10 and 15 t/ha) were applied to soil based on a randomized complete block design with three replications. The results showed that the highest (21.87 kg m2)and lowest (14...

Cerebrosides in Mature-green and Red-ripe Bell Pepper and Tomato Fruits

Almtract--Cerebrosides (CBs) isolated from pericarp lipids of green and red bell pepper and tomato fruits were separated by a new HPLC method into/> six components. HPLC profiles were similar for the two fruits and changed little with ripening. CB 1 was the major peak, CB 2 was found only in bell pepper, and CBs 4, 5 and 6 were more abundant in pepper than in tomato. Total CBs and HPLC CB fract...

Selection of genetically diverse Trichoderma spp. isolates for suppression of Phytophthora capsici on bell pepper.

Environmentally compatible control measures are needed for suppression of Phytophthora capsici on pepper. Twenty-three isolates of Trichoderma were screened for suppression of a mixture of 4 genetically distinct isolates of this pathogen on bell pepper (Capsicum anuum) in greenhouse pot assays. Of these 23 isolates, GL12, GL13, and Th23 provided significant suppression of P. capsici in at least...

Effect of Different Growing Media and Super Absorbent on Vegetative and Reproductive Growth of Bell Pepper under Salinity Stress Conditions

The use of suitable substrate for vegetable production may reduce losses in production caused by salinity. In order to determine suitable substrate for bell pepper cv. 'California Wonder' under salinity stress conditions, a factorial experiment based on completely randomized design with 4 replications was performed. The experiment consisted of three factors of substrate (coconut fibre, 50% fine...
